Workflow/Plugin to check if a record has been modified daily

Hi Guys,

I've hit a requirement I'm struggling to develop and was wondering if anyone's had a similar issue.

Basically, if you tick a checkbox on record A (example) , saying that the record needs updating daily, then two date-time fields appear, where you set two dates (both on the same day) and two times in which the record would need to be updated daily

For example: Record A needs updating daily between 08:00 - 15:00.

If this record hasn't been updated in this time, this needs flagging. A simple checkbox saying it needs updating would suffice, as we could have a view displaying all records which need updating etc...

Anyone have any ideas around this? Completely stumped :(

Let me know if this needs explaining better!

    Hi!

I think you should add 2 fields Last Modify Date (modify date by your logic this is not modified on field, I think you will update this field when update your checkbox) and your CheckBox field Modified Today; every night at 12 you can update this checkbox with value false (this can be WF). As a result you will have your checkbox with daily modification, and also you will know when you modify this entity by your custom logic last time.

That checkbox may have to be reset at 8:00 am rather than at 12, though (or whatever time you'll put into the first datetime field). This could be a workflow which will wait till 8 am, reset the checkbox, and start itself as a child worfklow

You'll need to set the checkbox to true if an update happens between 8 am and 3 PM.. that could be a plugin. Or that could be a javascript (added to the "onsave" of the form, for example)
