Multi-factor authentication with on-premise CRM

Hi;

Has anyone ever implemented MFA on just the CRM web application within their organization?  I'm not talking about MFA for network access; rather, specifically adding MFA to the CRM application so that the users windows authentication is not the only challenge to authenticate to CRM.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Dave

    Multi Factor Authentication is specific to ADFS 2012 R2. This is something that would be configured within ADFS and then CRM would be configured with Claims Based Authentication using ADFS. However, the CRM for Outlook client does not currently support MFA.

    Yes it should work with Tablet Client. We had the similar question and we got the below response from the experts

    "Active Directory Federated Services (AD FS) with Azure MFA"

    "Yes, this does work, as long as your using AAD v4+ ( windows 2016 ) and OAuth needs to be configured"

    Configure the OAuth provider (Deployment Guide)
