Kindly help to sort out the issue.

    Hi,

The issue here is, the email format is Html and Html tags start with < so the parser reads that as a tag starting and because of that the value between <> is not displayed as text. You can encode <> to < and > respectively in the fields to overcome this issue.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Vikas,

Thanks, but could you please suggest that how we can do that (encode <> to < and > respectively). And have you tried it.

    Regards

    Hi,

You can simply replace < with < and > with > using JavaScript or plugin when saving the values. I have tried it in HTML and if you add <  > then it reads it as a tag hence the value is not displayed. As soon as you replace these with encoded values, it reads it correctly and displays the value as it should be displayed. This should resolve your issue.

    Thanks

    Hi Vikas,

Don't you think that after replacing < with < and > with > using JavaScript or plugin on save of record will not resolve the issue. As the field would be having a value like <Hello World> and it will get truncated while creating the Email using an email template having that field mapped to it.

The Issue is occurring in Email Body while creating Email. Acc. to my observations if you will try to map same field to Subject of that mail, field value will not get truncated.

Kindly suggest and let me know if I understand you wrong !!

    Best Regards

Sorry, my fault. Actually I had written the code for both the signs but it was changed to < and >. You can replace < with & l t ; and > with & g t ; (please remove the spaces). Which are equivalent to  < and >.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Vikas,

No Issues, I had this idea but the field is business Oriented field having its value within <>. So I cant suggest Business to edit all the records, its not possible even.

Would you please suggest any chunk of code that could negate the Effect of <>. So that we could get the value inside these <> in email messages.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

If its fine with you then you can try converting the email body into plain text and not html. In that way all the information will be available. If you want a reference on how to do that, you can check this link
