"Error: Undefined" on new opportunity, quote and order view

Hi!

Does anyone have any idea what might be the reason for "Error: Undefined"  message when creating a new Opportunity, Quote or Order record? I've started to get this and don't have a clue how to find the reason for that. It's a simple popup box saying "Error: Undefined" without any details. How could I figure out where to at least start looking for answer? Happens in all browsers. Doesn't happen for Account/Contact records. Also only happens when creating a new record. Opening up an existing record doesn't give such error.

Thanks!

    Hi,

The error is too generic. Can you try to use Diagnostic Tool to get more information .

    Thanks

Hi! Sorry for taking so long to reply. Alessandro, thanks for your advice. By Diagnostic Tool, did you mean going to this link in my org and running diagnostics?  https://[company].dynamics.com/tools/diagnostics/diag.aspx I'm running CRM Online, if that makes any difference in this context.

Also I've checked with other users in our company and it seems that I'm the only one getting this error. So my thinking is that CRM is checking something user-account related (some javascript maybe?) and there's something that isn't defined regarding my account. But what exactly?

    Hi,

no problem.. It is strange only on your user. Did you check the security role? Maybe you don't have any permission and there is a script that tryes to do somenthing with an entity where you don't have permission. you can compare the role with other user.

    Thanks

    A.G.

Thanks, will check this. It would be strange though because I have top admin privileges.

How about the scripts, is there a way to find out which script could be causing this popup? Would that be somehing browser-based that could identify the script or should I look for that somehow from within CRM platform?

    Hi,

you can press F12 button on the Browser and after you can run the procedure with the error. you need to select the debug tab.
