Apologies but I am not getting what you are saying, can you please explain this one more time -

Did you mean instead of using a separate line in Purchase/Sales document for the restock you wish to get this calculated automatically based on a certain rulebooks.

There is nothing out of the box that calculates this based on a percentage. The user entering the restock fee line would need to calculate it manually.

If this is customized, what it affects depends entirely on how it is designed.

    Hello,

Business Central has no standard restocking fee %. It can only be added as a manual line. A percentage-based restocking fee requires customization to calculate the % and insert a G/L line. This mainly impacts returns/credit memos, posting (G/L & VAT), and document totals.

There is no standard feature for calcualting fees% . You need to cusotmize . You need to insert additional line . I would suggest setup driven approach that there will be no dependancy further on cusotmizations . You can change % or effective date accordingly .

Hi, This doesn't seem to be a standard feature.
If you want to use the standard feature, you can take a look at the item charge.
Use item charges to account for extra trade costs

    Thanks.

Percentage-based restock fees are not a standard feature in Business Central. If restock fees must be calculated as a percentage, Customization is required.

    Hi,

Business Central doesn’t have a native “Restock Fee %” field that auto-calculates a fee. Standard practice is to add a Charge (Item) line (item charge) on the Sales Return Order / Sales Credit Memo, then assign it to the posted shipment—this is Microsoft’s recommended way to post a restock charge and keep valuation correct.
