How to combine assembly items from multiple sales order into single Assembly order

Hi,

My scenario is rather simple.

In Cronus i have item 1924-W CHAMONIX Base Storage Unit, it consist of several assembly components e.g. Side Panel, Base etc.

Assume on the same day there were multiple Sales Orders let say 30 were placed and need to be consolidated into a single Assembly order.

Having created 35 different sales orders, i could not find a function that could go through the Sales orders and consolidate all demand into a single Assembly Order.

I tried Requisition Worksheet, it does not support Assembly to Stock items.

Thanks in advance.

Guy, I just tested and you are correct!  The Planning Worksheet is available in an Essentials client.  I even tested an Assemble-to-Stock Item with Lot-for-Lot policy and got the suggestion.  We handle almost exclusively Manufacturing installations, so I am happy to know this is available for Essentials as well.

I have used planning worksheet for a customer with Essentials licensing. Have you seen it stated that planning worksheet is not available with essentials or has that just been your experience?

I ask as I once had to go through Microsoft support to enable manufacturing setup to be available for an essentials customer. This was acknowledged as a bug which I knew as it is available in demo environments. Maybe you have experienced the same with the planning worksheet.

I needed access to manufacturing setup to turn on forecasting settings for use with the planning worksheet. The customer was using assemble to stock which we had up and running once the manufacturing setup was made available.

This is going to come down to your licensing.  If you have an Essentials license you will not be able to access the Planning Worksheet.  Since the Req. Worksheet cannot suggest making an Assembly Order for the Assemble-to-Stock Items, you're stuck to doing it manually.  For the life of me I cannot figure out why this is not capable with Essentials, but it is not.

If you have the Premium license (which includes access to the Planning Worksheet), you should be using it to suggest the creation of the Assembly Order due to the Item's Lot-for-Lot Reordering Policy and associated Assemble-to-Stock settings.

    Hi

    Adding to Josh's comment

Under Replenishment tab in item card you can select Assembly to Order or  Stock. As Josh mentioned.

Then if you selected Assembly to Stock under Planning tab you can select Lot-for-Lot for Reorder policy.

Then for "Lot Accumulation Period" select for how many days you want system to combine the demand.

    Let us know the result.

What about the planning worksheet? If the item is marked as assembly to order then you will get an assembly per order - to do with how the reservations work. If the item is assemble to stock then you could have a combined assembly order
