Hi there,

I create Sales order using EDI PO. Its working fine, while creation of Shipper a error message thrown to Event log as follows, but shipper is creating perfectly.

The Ship Via  'UPSG'  sent by the trading partner on EDI PO ID  '0000002581'  for company  'XXX'  could not be matched - using default value.

I set UPSG as my default ship via id at order management->Shipping address tab.

Will it seriously affect the process???

    Hello Karthik,

I'm not sure of your Build Version, but, I found bug 17348 'Error message when you try to use business object to convert EDI POs to Sales Orders without a default ship via ID in AR:  Sys Msg 15848  ediviacode.' , which is similar, but, a little different.  This bug is resolved in SL 2011, but, we might be able to workaround it.

You can customize the Ship Via screen to show the ShipVia.EDIViaCode field in the screen. Once you populate that with the same value being passed in the POSTART.Routing field (Char 1526 -1575), you should no longer receive System Message 15812.

Or you can populate it with a SQL statement:

    begin tran

update shipvia set EDIViaCode = 'UPSG' where shipviaid = 'UPSG'

-- assure only 1 row updated

    commit

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello Carolyn,

I have updated 'UPSG' to EDIViaCode field then its working fine. No more errors within that.

    Thanks a lot.

    Regards,

    Karthik
