Ok, no response from my previous post, perhaps I included too much detail and have overwhelmed the reader....so here is a very short version:
POS Printer died, now have a Star TSP700II printer
(USB Interface) with an attached Drawer.
I cannot get the Star OPOS drivers registered/working with RMS v2.0
I am running WinXP Pro SP3 .
I contacted Microsoft RMS support, they said to use the OPOS drivers from Star.
And to NOT install BOTH the the Star 'Windows' drivers and 'OPOS'.
I downloaded the current software/drivers from Star for the printer.
To use the Star Configuration utility, it forces me to install the included Windows drivers.
Once that is done, I can install,see and test the Printer thru the Star Configuration utility. I can also use the Star Utility to load the included OPOS drivers and reg both the Printer and Drawer. But when I try and add it to RMS, it does not see it or the OPOS drivers.
I then downloaded and tried the older OPOS drivers from Star. I can load the OPOS drivers but I cannot Reg the hardware because the older software does not recognize USP ports, only LPT ports.
Would somebody please help me with this?
