Notify (email) team/queue

Hi guys.

I have this workflow that according to the field (lead source) will assign a Lead to a user or customer. When the process assigns a user it easily send an email to the new lead's owner.

But I can't make it work with teams. As soon I assign a Lead to a team I also create a queue item with this lead and team owner, but I don't know how to send emails to to team or queue users.

Have anyone done this before?

Thanks!

If you want to send an email to individual Team members you can use this custom workflow activity I created to handle that.

is sending an email to a queue or team what you actually want to do.

Usually the email addresses for these are not really email addresses you want to send to notify someone they have a lead assigned to them.

At the moment Team doesn't have an email address associated with it.

To send emails to the whole team, you could write a plugin to do this but it would be quite a bit of effort.

Perhaps you could just create a workflow to send emails to a team leader and create a new field on the team entity which had the team leader and lookup to a contact

actually I would like to notify the whole team that a lead was assigned, because sometimes the team's leader is on vacation or out of town/country so the whole team will be notified. Then any member of the team will pick the lead from the team's queue and work on it.

I hope I made myself clear.

    Kind regards,

    Raul

I guess you should use the tool recommended by Jason because that seems to be the easiest way to create the functionality you want without lots of custom code
