Populating Attendance

I have created a course and a course section with the students that are in the course. Is there a way to populate the attendance based on that and the school year? Is there a premade flow or should we use some sort of an import process to populate that?

Also should this relationship of the student/course be shown on the student record? Right now I don't see that there.
