Purchase requisition split

Good day everyone, is there a way to divide a Purchase Request into two or more parts. An example for this case is that I have a Purchase Request for 20 items, I already have 8 of the 20 quoted and I need to continue the process for those 8 items by creating the Purchase Order and leaving the other 12 Items in process.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
As far as I know, there is no such out-of-the-box standard feature, you can try to create a purchase order for 8 items that have been quoted. This will allow you to dispose of these items while leaving the rest of the items in process.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi,
You can take a look at this old thread which also mentions the requirement to split purchase requisitions.
Solved: Splitting the purchase request. (dynamics.com)

    Hi,

The approach is enter qty 8 for the first line and request for quotation which will create a quote and then process a purchase order through the quote. Later, if you want to add the pending 12 qty of the same product, add a new product line or create a new purchase requisition.

The other option is get the purchase requisition line approved for Qty 20 and then process the purchase requisition line for Qty 8 followed by Qty 12 (when the request is ready to process)

Also, ensure on the line details section or the Lines section you have this toggle option "Prevent partial delivery" disabled.

Thank you Kevin for your response, unfortunately I have the flow active and I cannot approve the purchase request if the quote for the total number of products in the request has not been completed. Exactly in this purchase request I have 8 items that are extremely urgent. and I need to release them to prepare a purchase order while the other items to buy can wait.

I have been reviewing tutorials and I have found that if a quote request is made every time a line is approved, a Purchase Order is created but if a purchase order is made, a Purchase Order can only be made if the quote for all of them is approved. the lines and not partially, it is something that I believe is not very practical.
