Best practise to sync 2 CRM servers

(0) ShareShare

We are on CRM 2015 update 1 on premise.

We planning to have another CRM in another site (as that site will have lower internet bandwidth to access the main CRM site). And will sync the 2 CRM servers on regular frequency, like every night when traffic is lower.

What is the best practise to do the sync?

We will sync users, accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, quotes, orders.

Configurations, option sets, if possible, if not, edit from CRM UI directly.

Trying to sync 2 CRM servers is very complex. If it's a one-way sync (i.e. data is only ever changed by users in one system, and the other is essentially read-only), then it is realistic to try this, using tools like SSIS or Scribe to setup data jobs. However, you'd still to manage customisations manually, and update the sync components if you add fields. A two-way sync is much harder.

Overall, I'd suggest you have just the one CRM server, and spend your money on improving the network bandwidth

    Hello,

From the scenario described, I believe a network load balancer environment should be helpful.

    you can refer blogs.msdn.com/.../network-load-balancing-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2013.aspx

    Hope this helps you.

Is it a good idea to have a network load balanced system where one front end is placed in USA and one in India (for example) even if they would be on the same AD? If you have low bandwidth the SQL calls will still be slow.
