I've inherited a client that is still using FRx. We know FRx is deprecated, but was hoping someone on this page could provide some assistance.
The client is on GP 2013 and has not upgraded since. An upgrade is planned, but that is not going to proceed quickly due to a variety of factors. That said, within FRx they have a specification set that is corrupted and we are trying to see if we can recover it. The F32 file had been previously damaged and was restored from a backup. Within the FRxRpts.F32 file there resides four key specification sets. Three work, one does not. In troubleshooting we've done the following
1) SET COMPANY AS DEFAULT: Ran through each company and successfully set each as default
2) TESTED REPORTS: We can successfully run reports associated with the three working spec sets, but cannot run reports for the problematic spec set. We can successfully log into the companies that use the damaged spec set, but again cannot run reports from those companies.
3) REPORT CATALOG: Any attempt to open the report catalog from within a company that uses the damaged spec set receives the following message:
Error in module PickList U Form; procedure CatalogGrid;
Catalog database: "ENTER SEGMENT" (This is the name of the damaged spec set)'
Error number 32757
Database concern
Program error 0
4) EXPORT We tried exporting data from the damaged spec set unsuccessfully (we were able to complete an export from the working spec sets)
5) CLONE: We tried cloning the spec set and the result was an empty spec set
As we all know, FRx resources are very scarce these days. To that end was hoping someone would have some suggestions for recovering the spec set.. I'd appreciate any advice out there, and look forward to some replies.
