Hello Experts,

In my installation users are created as a guests (because they have gmail instead of outlook).
Is there any possibility for them to use Edit in Excel functionality being guests instead of full users in tenant?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi
Please, can you clarify what you mean guest user, are you in an onprem or saas version?
If you are on onprem, please check this out.

    Hi,

Please take a look at the comments from Microsoft Learn. Edit in Excel requires access to your Business Central license if the external user has a license to Business Central and then they can use edit in Excel by login into Excel

    Thanks

first you need to find out the license type of the guest user. If it is team license, then it might not be allowed to edit in excel.
second, check if excel BC addin has been properly installed/deployed.

    Hello everyone who answered!

I am talking about SaaS version and guest users with gmail - not external accoutntant. They will have Essential licesne. I still don't know if they will be able to use edit in excel function? :(
