What is the best way to implement CRM with mobile considerations?

I'm going to be working to implement CRM and I want to do so in a manner that will make it feasible for use with Mobile (Whether its Microsoft's App or another one).

Are there any tips you all can provide when creating entities or reports (Advanced Finds, Charts, Dashboards etc...) that will help make a mobile transition easier?  I am just asking this at a high level, so any basic tips are appreciated.

    Hi,

I will suggest you to go through MSDN KB: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn531159.aspx

which will help you to understand where it differ in term of customization between mobile and tablet client, From the data point of view it's does not make any difference, it's just about how this data will be exposed to mobile and tablet client, so you need to customize accordingly for example you need to setup dashboard that you want to see in mobile or table by select option in their property.

    Hope it will help.

Thanks for the link.  Just looking at the first part... Does this mean we need to edit forms for Cell Phones through the Microsoft Dynamics Web App and not the Dynamics URL we would log in through Internet Explorer?

I'll paste the beginning part of the article you sent below:

Home page for CRM for phones and tablets

When users first open CRM for phones and tablets, they’ll see the home page, which defaults to the Sales Dashboard. You can create new dashboards or edit existing ones in the web app and enable them for mobile, and users can choose a different Home dashboard. For more information about creating or changing dashboards, see Create a dashboard or Manage dashboard components on the CRM Help & Training site.

Form customizations for CRM for phones and tablets

CRM for phones and CRM for tablets use the forms as the web app. The way the form displays in the app is optimized for the mobile experience. The following diagrams show the reflow from the web app to the tablet and phone apps:

Yes, You need to handle customization from the web application, so for example which dashboard you want to see there, you can enable that dashboard by select option under dashboard properties.
