How to create popup fields

Hi,
I’m fairly new to dynamics and I was hoping someone could help me out with this query.
I have three created three fields which I want only to appear when I have selected a certain option in another field. Just wondering is this possible in DCRM?
I’ll give an example just to be clear, I have a lead status field and one of the options is disqualified lead. When this status if selected I would like three fields providing further information (i.e. why, possible future sell, which product) to pop up.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

    Emma,

The only way to do this is via Javascript, look at this article for more information:

    Good Luck!

If you are using CRM 2013, you could also evaluate using Business Rules. That way, you may not require to write any code.

    Hi Emma,

I'm not sure about making pop-up fields, as this may require Javascript as outlined by Gus. However, you could use Business Rules in CRM2013 to that when the 'Status' of the lead equals 'Disqualified', then the fields you require filled in are switched to Required.  You could also use the business rule to trigger an 'Error Message' that informs the user the fields are now required.  I think that is the simplest way of achieving your requirements without resprting to custom coding.
