Time Zone on Site Import

I'm trying to import a list of sites, and the importer says Time Zone is required. I can't find any documentation on what this field expects to see in my spreadsheet. I also tried manually creating a site and adding a Time Zone, but I can't find a way to export it to get the format info. I've tried several options like -5, -500, UTC-5:00 and nothing seems to work. The error I'm getting is "The source data is not in the required format"

Can someone please tell me what format is expected for the Time Zone field when importing a list of sites?

    Hi,

When importing a list of sites into Business Central and the Time Zone field is required, the system expects the value to be in the form of a Windows Time Zone ID. It does not accept numeric offsets like -5 or UTC-5:00.

You should use the official names such as:

    • Pacific Standard Time
    • Eastern Standard Time
    • UTC
    • Romance Standard Time
    • W. Europe Standard Time

These are the same names used in Windows time zone settings. If you're unsure which one to use, you can check the time zone settings on your Windows machine or refer to Microsoft's list of time zone index values.

Once you use the correct format, the import should work without errors.

    Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, entering Pacific Standard Time and the like didn't work either. I still received the error "The source data is not in the required format"

One of my senior team members finally had time to look. They are based on some seemingly random integer values. Here are the values we needed for the contiguous US:

    20  Central Standard Time

    35  Eastern Standard Time

    10  Mountain Standard Time

    4  Pacific Standard Time
