How to set a default queue?

Is it possible to set a default queue for each user? We got more than one queue for managing different sales regions. It would be nice to get the sales regions associated queue by opening the queue list.

    See the following blog:

    blog.customereffective.com/.../taming-the-queue-view-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm.html

You can change the default queue for a particular user:

Go to the User record (Settings>Security>User).  The default queue has automatically set to the queue for a particular user. '<user's name>'  You can manually change this for each user to another Queue (e.g. one for a team as a whole).  Then save the change.  But there can be some value in each person having his/her own personal queue and leaving that as the default.

    Hi,

each user can select the queue, then go to "View" tab and set it as default.

Just be aware of the system filters, which cannot be set as default (for details see this: http://www.microsoftcrmblog.com/2015/03/crm-system-queues.html) .

    Hi mscrmba

That´s right, I can set the default queue to each user. But unfortunately it has no effect to the view of queue items. By opening the queue liste the deafult is still set to "All Queues".

Did the blog (which covered other things which might have helped) or Michal's answer help?

    Hi Michael,

that sounds interesting. How is your filter criteria of the view "Queues I'm a member of"?

    With best regards

    Hi,

the default queue can be different from the one that you select for default filter.

These are independent. Default filter can be set in the "View" tab.

    Hi,

the Queues I'm a meber of is a system view in CRM 2013 and 2015.

The filter is generated by the system based on current setting.

    Ok. We´re using 2011.

But now I got a it. I created an new view. After that I set a custom filter and saved it to the current (my personal) view.

    Many thanks for supporting me!!!
