How accurate are the Power Platform Admin Center License Reports for D365 Finance and Operations

The PPAC Licensing overview for Finance and operations is showing that we lack licenses in Human Resources Self Service.

It was my belief that Team Members licensing would cover us for HR Self Service. The role System User has been flagged as being responsible for requiring HR SS licenses.

In addition we are said to be lacking attach licenses by almost double the number of actual active employees in our organisation. A custom role has been flagged as being responsible which covers Finance and Project operations.

Hi,
Its not accurate to be honest. I ve heard that from multiple MVPs who are experienced and well connected with Microsoft. I would create a MS ticket to report them the issue. Its either a new case that they have to fix or they can tell you an approximate time frame when you can expect a fix.

You need to work with partner or try to see what exactly you are looking or having issues. sometimes we assign or buy license for user just to do 2 click which is not good ROI.

Microsoft is still working on the PPAC license report, and the experience can be a bit misleading and non-descriptive; An example in our play tenant is that the required finance license is doubled. That is one of the reasons why the license enforcement has been delayed.

Until then, use the license reports found inside D365 and assign licenses accordingly.

My advice is to join the Microsoft insider Yammer, and join the office hours that is scheduled related to the new license experience.
