Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the MRP setup phase in my company, and having some troubles I cannot solve myself.

Our flow is quite simple as you can see below for a given item :

Our incoming is done at COP_ENTRY, then transferred to VERDAN (main warehouse), then when production triggers stock, it's transferred to PACKS. It works well.

Now, this is where things get complicated for me : we have external warehouses (C_STK_ALST for example), that need to be linked to either our main warehouse, or directly to the production line (PACKS).

Is it possible to do it with the basic Business central version, or even with an add-on ?

It would look like this.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Wishing you a nice day.

Laszlo

Your Primary Flow can be defined, but not the secondary/manual flows.  The system can only have a single Transfer From defined.  Your secondary flows, as an exception to your Primary Flow, is a manual intervention of your planner.

That being said, if it can be done manually it can generally be programmed automatically, as long as the trigger is consistent and well defined.

An example would be, IF the Order Date is in the past for a given MRP suggestion, run a function to use secondary flow.  The function would simply update the suggestion with the same steps a human planner would do.  It doesn't mean it will fix the problem, but it would be easy enough to flag those lines as having been updated so they can be reviewed more carefully.
