Hi Folks,

I am not able to export 3rd party ISV model using ModelUtil.exe. But I am able to export custom model successfully using the same command given below.

Following is the command,

ModelUtil.exe -export -metadatastorepath=K:\AosService\PackagesLocalDirectory -modelname=MyModel -outputpath=K:\Test

Getting an error that,
model was not found in the specified Metadata Store.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Please give us more information. Isn't it a binary model? Why do you want to export it all? How did you install it to F&O? Don't you already have it in source control, and if not, why?

Yes it is binary model ISV.

Why do you want to export it all?

I am trying to export this ISV for backup as I wanted to delete this model due to change in the business solution of customer.

How did you install it to F&O?
    Installed through LCS.

Don't you already have it in source control, and if not, why?
No, we did not require it.

If it's a binary model, there is no source code to export.

If you don't have it in source control, it must mean that you aren't creating deplyoable packages from source control, otherwise you wouldn't be able to deploy this ISV model. This is a dangerous approach and you should change your process ASAP. The files will also be backed up, and you'll have backups of all versions, including information about the time of commit and so on, and you'll be able to maintain different versions in different branches.

But if you insist on making an explicit backup (and you lost the files you used for installation), make a copy of files in the model folder.
