Using a parallel to usb adaptor for Security Dongle

Hi Guys, as the Header states, im looking to get a new PC but its rare to find a decent one with the Parallel Port needed to plug in my Security Dongle. I bought a USB adaptor to test if it would work with my current old pc, but the POS doesnt seem to recognise its plugged in. do i have to change some settings in the Operations Manager to tell it to look for a USB Dongle rather then the Parellel one i had been using?

    If you are using a PCI card for the parallel port make sure you download the latest rainbow sentinel driver.  www.safenet-inc.com/.../sentinel-drivers

    Also make sure you get a ISA legacy compatible card like this one    (0278h and 0378h) addresses

    It does make a difference.

    Go to newegg or tigerdirect and get yourself a pci-e card, it is the best wat to handle legacy stuff like t hat, including old scanners and printers too. They are like forty bucks and worth it.
