Screen Output Incorrect For One User On Terminal Server

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

When using a terminal server, one user signs into GP just like all other users.  When that user prints any report to the screen, the output on the screen is different than when printing it to paper.  When the report prints about halfway down the page, it inserts a page break and prints the next line item on the next page.  The report prints all the information, but the bottom half of the page is always blank.  It prints normal when printed to paper.  For example, one report shows 11 pages in the screen output and when printed to paper, from the screen output, it prints on 3 pages, because the report prints on the entire page like normal.  This is only happening for one user and they use the same terminal server as all other users.  The report is not modified.

Has anyone else tried using the same credentials to log on to the terminal server and printing the same document from another machine.

Yes, if you use the same credentials to log into the terminal server but on another machine, you get the same results.  When you log into the terminal server as the user with the issue and sign into GP as someone else, you have the same issue.  If you log into the terminal server as someone else and GP as anyone, the report output is normal.  It seems to be linked to the terminal server login and not the GP login.  The results are still the same whether you enter GP through a shortcut or through the menu.

    Hi,

Have you checked whether the user has same access as others.  also after login to terminal check correct printer driver is defaulting to this user.
