How do Hide Chart of Accounts , GL entries and GL account page from users

They will obviously need access to post entries I just want to restrict the pages

IS this possible and how is it done?

I have the same question (0)

Although profile settings can prevent users from seeing the links to the sensitive pages, but users still can use search function to find the links to the above mentioned pages! Is there a better way to prevent that? We can't really use permission sets to limit the users as the critical tables are needed for most basic daily operations with the minimum read permission.

If your users can live with access to one profile this could be an option to explore.

Go to the profiles page and disable personalisation. Then use the configure button. Access the mention pages and hide columns. Repeat on all other profiles necessary. If you need to split users with the same profile to have access and to have no access create copies of profiles. Assign specific profiles in the user personalisation page. You can also limit the selection list of profiles if a user tries to swap. Setting on the profile card.

No development required here just methodical configuration

Hi, If you only use standard features you can use Permission Set. The setup is slightly tricky...

But if you can do a little development, you can determine if the user has permission to open the page when it is opened.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

Thanks for you reply but I dont think filters will help as i dont want to restrict access to the data just restrict users from the page - chart of accounts or from executing a code unit to get shipment lines for example.

We use the filters already to restrict GL accounts visible on a sales order or a purchase order

I feel like i'm missing something obvious but its just not there

    Try security filters: docs.microsoft.com/.../security-filters
