How to Find Journal Entries are Made after a Specific Date?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everyone,

Auditors are auditing our year-end, between July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017. There are several coworkers work in accounting department. We were all working on year-end adjusting entries when auditors audited.

Today, the auditor asks us to provide him all year-end adjusting journal entries we made after September 1, 2017 and posted to June 2017.

I went to smartlist - financial - account transactions - * to look for all transactions between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. I added three columns - last edited date, created date, and modified date.

I only get most accurate result by setting last edited date is after August 31, 2017. However, the list I got is not completed because several entries have 00/00/0000 as last edited date If I run full GL list between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017.

I also try to search under created date and modified date but those dates are not accurate for some reason.

May I ask, is there any way I can find all journal entries are made after year-end but were posted to previous fiscal period?

Thanks.

PZ

Try adding the Column "Originating Posted Date", this will display the Posted date regardless of the User Date being changed.
