The message indicates that there's a business process flow connected to the lead and when you are qualifying the lead it is trying to advance this business process flow one stage. The problem seems to be that it can't find the stage that it is supposed to advance to.

Do you have a business process flow on the lead? If so, have you changed it recently and removed any stages? It could be that the BPF definition was changed but it somehow failed to update the instances with this change.

Is this problem only appearning for old leads or are you having the same if you create a new lead and immediately try to qualify it?

I made a few changes to the "data steps" but i believe that is all. Here is what the flow looks like:7360.2.JPG7360.2.JPG8030.3.JPG

If you go to an actual lead, does the stages presented in the BPF there match the ones in your definition? I.e. do you see only "Discovery" and "Engagement" when viewing a lead, both one existing before your change and new ones?

yes. "discovery" and "engagement" are present. even the data steps are working properly. i made adjustments to their values also (i.e "discovery email 1" etc etc)

i also tried to "close" the lead via the business flow banner and received a longer error code but the common error is:

Stage ID ‘bfc9108c-8389-406b-9166-2c3298a2e41f’ is not present in Business Process

Do you have a backup of the BPF from before you made the changes? If so you could try re-import that to verify if the problems did come with your changes or not.

    More things to try:

    - Disable the BPF and see if you can close leads without it interfering.

    - Check the BPF entity instance (the instance of a "LeadToOpportunitySalesProcess") that is linked to your lead. What data does it currently have?

    - Check the StageId and traversalpath fields on the Lead entity (these are supposed to be deprecated, but you never know if they can still interfer)
