Not showing personal e-mails in CRM

Hi,

Is there a way I can set up the e-mail options so that both INCOMING and OUTGOING e-mail are automatically synced with CRM but ONLY for CRM Contacts (without the personal e-mails syncing).

So I want both outgoing and incoming e-mails to show up in Social Pane in CRM for Contact and the only way to do this is to track ALL E-MAIL MESSAGES right?  If I choose any of the other options, then the 'outgoing' e-mails will have to be manually tracked by SET REGARDING or TRACK IN CRM, right?

The problem I am having is that with that option of 'track ALL e-mail messages', ALL of the personal e-mails are also showing up in 'All Activities' view.  Obviously they don´t show up in Social Pane because there is no CRM Contact for that person.

Please help :)

    Hi Gylfi,

Instead of tracking ALL emails, you can track only the emails from CRM Leads/Accounts/ Contacts. You have to choose this in Personal Options. The below blog can help you community.dynamics.com/.../crm-e-mail-tracking-part-2.aspx

    Hope this helps!

I tried this the other day, but it only SYNCED the incoming e-mails from CRM Leads/Accounts/Contacts.  That is, not the outgoing e-mails I send them.

Is that right?  Or am I doing something wrong?

See picture below.  I have set my e-mail options to track only e-mails from CRM Leads/Accounts/Contacts like you said.

Today I have sent both an INCOMING and OUTGOING e-mail to this CRM Contact.  But ONLY the incoming e-mail shows up in activity pane.  So this e-mail option only seems to track incoming e-mail but for outgoing I have to do SET REGARDING for each one.  Is that right?  Unlike the 'TRACK ALL E-MAIL' option where both incoming AND outgoing e-mails are tracked.  But in that case all personal e-mails also go through.  Is there any way around this?

    Hi Gylfi,

The option to Track emails from CRM Leads/Accounts/ Contacts will only track the emails if the "Sender" of email is LEad/Account/Contact.. so only the incoming emails are being tracked.

For any emails that you send from Outlook and want to track in CRM, you have to either click the 'Track in CRM' button or use Set Regarding option.
