Status reason in custom entity not showing all elements on the form

Hello all!

I'm creating a new entity which requires using the standard fields Statecode (status) and statuscode (status reason).

I added several new states to both the active and the inactive states as follows:

5618.Inactive.png

But on the form, only the active ones appear in the drop-down list:

Does anyone know what could be wrong here?

RE: Status reason in custom entity not showing all elements on the form

    Hi,

This is default functionality of CRM. The status reasons displayed on form depends upon current state of record. If current state of record is active then it will show all reasons added for active state of record. For all other options you may need to add a new state of record other than active and inactive and then show status reasons as per that state.

Please read below link for more information on Status and Status Reasons:

    Hope this helps:)

Not sure you can add more states (out of the box entities may have more than active/inactive, but custom entities can only have those two), so you can only see those active status reasons in the dropdown.. Inactive status reasons will show up when you are deactivating a record (but, since the form becomes readonly after a record has been deactivated, you won't be able to really choose them from the dropdown once a record is inactive)

    Hi Alex,

I'm not trying to add more states, but rather status reasons. And I added them already (see pictures).

The only problem is that the inactive status reason are not showing up when I open the drop-down list on the form.

    Hi Preeti,

the status field is not editable on the form, it changes according to "status reason". And the latter is not showing the inactive elements. So how could I switch the record to inactive?

Hi Hikmat, that note about states was just a clarification. For the status reasons, see above. You won't see them in the drop-down on the form.

    Hi,

You can not edit the status reason once the record is inactive as form goes to non editable mode.

You may need customization to add more status reasons.

You can create custom status field and then work as you need.

    Thanks:)

To switch to inactive, just use deactivate button in the ribbon.

    Hi Alex,

    thanks for your answer.

How would you deactivate the record if the states field is not changeable and the status reason is not showing the inactive elements?
