Sent Email in contact activity

I have CRM online,  and office 365.  I  have setup email sync and if a contact sends an email it shows up in their activity.  However if I email the contact it doesn't show up in their activity.

How do I make it so that any email with the contact shows up in CRM?

    Hi CRMNoob503,

    In this case, you have to go to the mail box of user and see the error, then, you can trace the problem here.

    I think it is close,  but now I get this alert after emailing a contact:

    Ensure that user has been select "All Message" option in email tabs.

    I am sending emails with office365.  The check box you mentioned is already checked.

    Hi CRMNoob503,

    Please clarify your case. Where did you send email to contact? In CRM application (web site) or in Office 365? And 1 thing, to track email as incoming & Outgoing, you have to tick on "Track emails sent between CRM users as two activities", you can go to Email Configuration and click on Email tab, scroll down, you will see it.

    I am not using the CRM outlook plugin.  We have CRM online and Office 365 online.  The the settings -> email configuration -> email configuration settings I have the following:

    When a contact sends us an email (incoming) it shows up under the contact's activities.  However if we send a contact an email (outgoing) it doesn't show up in the contact's activities.  How do I make outgoing email tracked in CRM?

    Hi CRM Noob

    The only way recieved emails are tracked is by your email tracking settings, often email tracking is a manual task via outlook but you can also apply settings to automatically track email. the following article will help you configure your settings www.microsoft.com/.../set-an-option-to-automatically-track-incoming-outlook-email-in-crm-for-outlook.aspx
