Setting Permissions on the Vendor Bank Account Card

Hi all,
New to the forum

I am stuck with Navision 2018.
We have a process in our finance team, so we can control who can change banking details on the system.  (we use permission sets to control access)
User 1  =  The user can create a "New" vendor ,  and can also create a "New" Vender Bank Account (Sourcetable:  288 ).
This user is unable to assign the bank account that was just created for the vendor to the fields:    Preferred Bank Account Co.   /  BACS Account No.

User 2  =  Is unable to create Vendor Bank Account details, but is able to "assign the bank account details/(check info is correct)" to the vendor  (Sourcetable:  23)

The above process works for us as a control method of what we need.
Where i am stuck is:

Once User 1  creates the Bank account detail, and User 2 assigns that bank,......... lets say User 1 wants to modify the "bank account" , User 1 can click into the Vendor Bank Account , and modify the record....
Sooooooooooooooo, on that note, i have a permission set that enables User 1 to  " Insert, Modify, Delete"  for the Vendor Bank Account card (Sourcetable: 288)
If i remove "YES" from the modify field, or select  "Indirect" ,     Then User 1 cannot Modify the Bank details, which is Great!!
HOWEver!, it also stops User 1 from being able to create "NEW" Bank account details, despite having "insert" permissions for the bank account setup...
Its almost like a Flaw, that by changing the Modify field, remove the ability to create new.
When User 1 tries to delete the bank record, its the same as unable to create a New one...
But when i modify the permission set to say User 1 can modify the Bank account details (sourcetable 288) , then the NEW and DELETE functions both work....

Any ideas ?   I am super baffled!

Hello Stuart - I ran a record permission while accessing the the New button and it looks like it is requiring an Execute permission on the Vendor Bank Account Card permission.  Can you try giving User 1 the Execute Permission and see if this resolves the issue?

    Stuart,

In addition to what Andy has noted, you might consider turning on Change Log, for the Bank Account Table, to monitor all changes.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Have done the record option which shows a lot of data the moment i click into the Vendor Bank Account Card / List
Working my way through that now...

I did add the 'Table' in the permission tab, so the user has 'execute' permission to SourceTable 288 (Vendor Bank Account).
Also added  'Page' 425  which is the Vendor Bank account page  so the user has execute permission to that...

I'm gonna keep at it! cheers for the reply both !
