Where can I enable this? Getting an "insufficient permission" error when trying to update the owner of an Opportunity.

Thanks,

    Could you check the security role that is assigned to your user ??

    1. Click Settings, click Administration under Settings, and then click Security Roles.
    2. Double-click the role that is assigned to the user.
    3. Grant the missing privilege to the user's role. For example, to grant the prvReadLead privilege to the user's role, click the Core Records tab, and then on the Lead row, click the appropriate Read privilege.
    4. Click Save and Close.

    Thanks Effendy,

    That's what I thought and I had enabled it but it still wouldn't let me change the Opportunity owner - I tried as a System Admin (everything green like your screenshot) and I couldn't change the Opportunity owner either.

    Potentially a bug? Any ideas?

    Thanks

    C

    Hi Chon,

    If your user is already assigned as System Admin, so my suspect is the user CAL license:

    Go to the User and go to Administration Tab:

    He or she should have Read-Write.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you.

    Hi Chon,

    Goto Settings-->Administration-->User.

    or Goto Settings-->Administration-->Security Roles.

    You can add some security roles to the user in Admin privilege.

    Thanks for the responses guys - unfortunately still not working.

    Aileen - I have try configuring CAL as per your screenshot but it's already set to 'read-write' for everyone.

    I'm aware of the security roles settings but it's something else. I am an Admin with green for everything and yet I "do not have sufficient permissions" to change the Owner of the Opportunity...

    Thanks for all the help so far, any more ideas?

    Hi Chon,

    Your user is System administrator with role from CRM (not a custom role)?

    Any log file can download when you change the owner?

    Okay, try to disable and enable?

    Very strange - just tried again today and it seems to have fixed itself... Probably something on Microsoft's end?

    In any case, thank you all for the help! [:D]
