Sales order - Part shipment

Hi All,

I've got a question regarding part shipments of sales orders.

Example
Shipment date Planned delivery date Line no. Item no. Description Description2 Quantity  To ship Shipped Inventory
21-10-2024 22-10-2024 100000 1     10,   10, 0, 10
28-10-2024 29-10-2024 200000 2     5, 5, 0, 100
21-10-2024 22-10-2024 300000 3     1, 1, 0, 1

When making a warehouse pick I only want the lines with shipment date 21-10 to be allocated to the warehouse pick. The line with 28-10 doesn't need to be in the warehouse pick.

Anyone got an idea or solution to this topic without making a new order?

If you only want to create pick for one line, you could do it by update the qty to ship field. There different scenarios depending on your location setup. e.g. If you have a directed location, you could delete the lines not ready to be handled after creating a warehouse shipment. Then create a pick, which only handles the line you need.

So the only option is changing the qty to ship before creating the warehouse pick?

i’ve tried that before and it works but I was looking at a possibility in setup. Like only making pick lines which are equal to the shipment date header.

The suggested solution is a normal way of handling such situation. But if you need the pick line be created based on dates, that would be an extension per my knowledge.

You wouldn’t know any extensions for this or do you?

Unfortunately I don't and will hesitate if a customer asks for such an extension. BC logic is more based on availability of inventory rather than on dates. User could pick for sales order regardless of whether early or late. This provide good flexibility in my opinion.

You would need to get a developer to customize the system for this functionality. If you reach out to your partner, they should be able to assist you. The system’s inventory planning functionality does take dates into account.
