As part of our migration from NAV to Business Central, business users have asked for us to migrate some job costing data (so they have an accessible record of actual labour time spent on specific parts).
To do this we have pulled job ledger data from NAV and setup a config package using table 210 (Job Journal Lines)
We use dimensions and some of these are mandatory for job postings so Dimensions as Columns has been ticked on the package.
Unfortunately we are able to import the NAV ledger entries to the package, get no validation errors and so are able to apply the package.
But when reviewing the (now applied) journal lines before posting it appears that any posting to type G/L Account has had the global dimensions (Shortcut Dimensions 1/2) stripped away and left blank.
Item type postings are OK.
All Shortcut Dimension 3/4 records are OK.
Fields have been stripped back to 20 or so that are relevant.
I have tried adding the Shortcut Dimension 1/2 Code fields to the package and populating these as well but same issue.
Because of the global dimensions being mandatory this means we need to manually re-enter the global dimension values for all lines either on the job journal card or via edit in excel.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?
