Store table is wrong in 2 of our stores, but right in the headquarters database

There are a total of five stores, and they are listed in the HQ database correctly. However, in two of our store databases, one of the 2 satellite stores is listed twice, and one is omitted entirely, making it impossible to do an inventory transfer to the missing store. I have tried reindexing all and resynchronizing and the information in the store databases tables is still wrong! Is it possible to manually fix this. It is quite baffling! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
