Block excel connection to Dynamics 365

Hi All,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

Is it possible to block data connections from Excel to Dynamics 365? Our company is wanting to restrict the use of Dynamics 365 data within Excel for data security and integrity reasons.

I've removed "Export to excel" permissions but I believe this doesn't prevent users from clicking "Get data from Dynamics 365 online" within Excel, is it possible to block this? - I notice it uses the "Microsoft Power Query for Excel" application within Azure, could I block this connection for example?

Hi,

Unfortunately, Microsoft Power Query for Excel is not available as a cloud app for enabling Grant/Block Access control within Azure Conditional Access feature.

I will recommend submitting a feedback over Azure Active Directory suggestions and feedback site ::
