Commerce - POS - The payment has been recovered

Hi,

At the checkout, after selecting the product and choosing the card payment method, a message is displayed:

"the payment has been recovered. To recover the payment for 5 euros, select OK, then send a new payment request to the terminal by selecting the 'card payment' button from the cart view."

Has this ever happened to you? How can it be removed? It happens with every payment.

Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Yes, this message usually appears in D365 Commerce POS when a previous card payment attempt was not completed properly or was interrupted, and the system tries to recover the payment.

    To troubleshoot:

Check Hardware Station Logs – Sometimes payment terminal responses are delayed or dropped.

Clear Offline Transactions – Go to POS > Settings > Hardware Profile and clear any pending transactions.

Check Payment Connector Setup – Ensure the connector (e.g. Adyen,) is correctly configured and updated

Review POS Version – If this is happening every time, check if it’s a known bug fixed in a later version.

Try Reinitializing POS – Sign out of POS and reinitialize the session. If the issue persists, it may need escalation to your payment connector vendor or Microsoft support.

    Hope this helps
