Cannot Print PO. Encumbrance Error

Hi,

I face some problem on printing Purchase Order. Message prompt out

" You cannot print this purchase order. One or more purchase order line items have not been encumbered. Do you want to print the Encumbrance Edit List for more information. "

Attached with the picture

my client condition is first they already had entered budget beginning of the year.

after few months, they decided to set budget checking so I setup the encumbrance for them.

then they facing this kind of message for them unable to proceed printing PO.

May I know how is thing cause and how to solve?

Hi...

Thanks for your information. I manage to print the edit list already.

Below is my screen shot of my Edit list. Under one of my PO happen to show

the status "PREBUID".

But when I check on my budget for this account code was not exceed the budget.

May I know where I can check what caused of the encumbrance message keep prompt out.

If I have more than one budget will that caused of the problem?

Hello,

Under the posting setup, confirm if the 'Encumbrance Summary ..' report is ticked for printing.

'Pre-encumbrance' points to an issue with the budget line amount being exceeded (or something related to that budget line). While you can still 'ok' the transaction and print out the PO (Purchasing >> Trnsactions >> Encumbrance Mgt >> Encumbrance Review) , I would still recommend that you first confirm the budget allocation for the budget line(s)/GL codes on your PO.

Would like to know this Encumbrance Detail report is the Encumbrance Edit List

as mentioned? When the message prompt out, I click YES to print..nothing happen.

I worry that it might be my setting problem. Please advise.

Hello Maggie,

Kindly print the Encumbrance Edit List report. There are several possibilities among them; the item line is missing a budget account, or the budget account picked may have insufficient budget allocation et al.

Once you pick more details, it will point us in the direction of resolving the issue. While the system can allow you to 'review the encumbered transactions' and allow them t o be printed/processed, I would rather we first establish why the message is popping up in the first place (by printing the Encumbrance Edit List report).
