Service Module replacement - Dynamics 365?

(0) ShareShare

Hi Folks,

My organization recently implemented MSDCRM for the Sales and Marketing departments, and was planning to use the Service and/or Field Service module for our small Service department. Now it appears that the service modules will be available only through the new Enterprise subscription of D365. Our service department does not have the volume to justify the cost for the more expensive subscription.

My question is if there are any other ways we can implement the CRM into our Field Service processes without having to purchase the Field Service and/or Service module (or consultants). Any resources or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi Mike, I did a calculation for you based on 10 Users if you subscribed for both the Field Service & Customer Service Apps it would cost you

    Business App Total Cost ($/User/Month):

    $1,900

Equivelent Plan 1 Tiered Cost ($/User/Month):

    $1,150

    Plan 1 Savings ($/User/Month):

    750

    Plan 1 Savings %:

    60.526%

As you can see your saving money by Subscribing to the Plan 1 Enterprise instead of the Apps, and you would also get a lot more features in Plan 1 with access to all the modules

    Plan 1 Non-Tiered Cost ($/User/Month):

    $1,150

    Hope that helps :)

    Hi Mike,

Further to Raz's explanation, if you like to do licencing calculations there's a spreadsheet developed by Natraj Yegnaraman.

    Check out the below article.

Thank you for the response Raz and happy new year. As I mentioned in my previous post, the organization is smaller and doesn't have enough Service users (only 4 or 5) to justify the Enterprise subscription. We plan on migrating to the Business subscription, which doesn't include Field Service, to the best of my knowledge.

I am simply looking for alternative ways to use the CRM for Service tickets, scheduling, etc, without having to subscribe to the more expensive Enterprise versus business. Thank again.
