I am using MSCRM 2013 On-Premise and have a deleted record I need restored. This is a custom entity and has custom child entities as well. Is this possible?
Thanks

There is no way to restore deleted record until you have database back with that record.
If you have database backup restore the database and use SDK to push that record back to CRM or export to excel and import into crm.
Ben:
Sorry there is no way to recover a deleted record. If you have a db back system you should be able to recover.
Confirming with Chitra post.
Hi Ben,
There is one way to restore your deleted record, if you have auditing enabled for this entity.
CRM stores auditing in Audit table
Following query is giving all deleted contact records from system.
select * from Audit where Operation=3 and ObjectTypeCode=2
Here Operation =3 means Delete operation, and objectTypecode =2 is for contact..
To get objectTypecode for your entity you can do query
select * from Entity where name like '%test%'
-- replace test with your entity schema name.
but to get data from auditing table is not easy.. you need to do lot of SQL manipulation and then you can get actual data..
Here is example to get data from audit and create report.. you can use similar approach and get data for that entity.

Hope this will help..
There actually is a way now. In March, Cobalt released a free new solution to let you back up your records. We have since added functionality for deep backups and copies, allowing you to take 'snapshots' of child records as well. Just recently we released Audit Rollback functionality, allowing you to rollback records from your audit records. It's easy to use and free!

Hi
I am using MS CRM 2016 online, and i deleted a record from a entity and i dint enable audit for the entity, is there anyway to restore back the record - and in some of the comments i saw there is a way to restore from recycle bin but i couldn't find it.
If there is any possibility please share the steps
Hi Ben
Did you find anyway to restore the record,if so please share the steps
Unfortunately I did not.
Hello,
Try using the Recycle Bin plugin in XrmToolBox. Hopefully it should help.
Hi,Did you find any way to recover your data,I have this problem
Hi all,
You should use XrmToolBox 's "Recycle Bin" plugin. If you enabled your audit, this plugin perfectly works to recover your record with all attributes and same identity (GUID)
You can find XrmToolBox on https://www.xrmtoolbox.com and after download it go to "Tools > Plugin Store" and find "Recycle Bin" and install plugin.
