Integration Manager

Posted on by 3,225

We use integration manager to import large orders into a quote status.  Sometimes these orders will have the same item number listed multiple times.  Sometimes the integration works just fine and other times it will only bring in one of the line items (of the same number) but it doesnt sum up the total quantities needed.  Do you know if there is something that needs to be done a certain way in order for it to actually bring in every single line item even if it is the same item number?

Thanks

Katie what if anything were you able to do to resolve this matter?

Yes they are coming out of two different source files.  One is out of GP and one is out of another application.

    Thank you

    Katie,

Bill is correct in his description of what can cause this error; however, it can be caused by both the query/application that generates your integration source file(s) or the links created in Integration Manager to join multiple source files. I would recommend previewing your source file(s) to determine if your data looks like it does in the source file(s) you are trying to import.

Katie, how are the data tables created for the import?  I am guessing that the outside application is responsible for the generation of the file that you use?

I have seen cases where Non-inventory Items can be consolidated and the differences that we think are important - which are based on descriptions - are skipped when determining the status of the item.

This may not be the source of your problem, but, maybe you can post a 'small' sample of an integration file that works one time and one that fails another time.

    Lets see what happens next.
