How to use the feature "Display Label on the Dashboard"?

I want to add a label to a component (list) on my dashboard. I checked the option "Display Label on the Dashboard", and view selector=show selected views. I couldn't see the label. If I selected "view selector = off", then the label option is grayed out.

Could you please tell me how to use this feature?

Thanks in advance,

Hao

Might not be the answer you want .... but I don't think the label does show on the dashboard. Regardless of how you set this option.

You cant show it in the dashboard.

As I know you can have 1 label for 1 section max in the dashboard bit not for each component.

1 dashboard can have 2 section that you can give name example like this

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Aileen and Neil,

In the "edit component" window, there is a check box for "Display Label on the Dashboard". But it seemed that the label won't appear on the dashboard no matter what.

So I am confused by what it is for.

Thank you again for confirming this.

    Hi Neil and all,

Is this Label not showing still an issue with Dynamics CE 365?  I'm looking around to see why this is happening to me and I can't find any articles more recent than this one.

    Cheers

This appears to still be an issue. The only way I've been able to successfully get the labels to show is to add a new section underneath the sections not showing labels. For whatever reason those sections do not have the 'Display labels' option grayed out.

    Hope this helps.

You can change the chart label by unselecting the option "Show Chart only" on its properties, update your label then select the "show chart only" again.

There you go, the label is now updated.
