Checking links of the sales module takes 26 hours to run, the sales module takes 13 hours, the inventory module 4 hours, the financial module 15 hours.
What can I do to reduce the execution time?
Please your help.

I would start by doing some performance monitoring to see what is causing the bottleneck. There are a myriad of things that could be causing the sluggishness. How big are your databases, how much RAM, how fast are the hard drives, how are they configured, what else is running on this server? To name a few.

We review the memory, fragmentation, only this task is running and is not a problem

What else Can I review in GP ??  The GP version is 10

How big are these databases? When you are running check links what does the performance monitor tell you? Is something maxing out?

The processor, memory and disk are within limits; without abnormal peaks.

    Space of Data Base:

    Size: 254915.00 MB

    Space available: 2164.94 MB

    Hi Carolina

Your database is quite large and will take some time for check links to work.

Richard gave you correct information with regards to monitoring and to check your RAM, drives etc.

You state that the processor, memory and disk are within limits which I interpret that you have a server based on Microsoft specification for a server for GP 10.  However, the specifications are minimum specs and usually I recommend above these as RAM and drives are an inexpensive these days.

To reduce your database size I would recommend that you look at the Company Data Archive program from Professional Advantage.  It will allow you to archive historical years of data and reduce the size of your current database as well.

What type and speed are your drives? What is the RAID configuration? Do you separate your data files from your log files? How big are your log files? What type of SQL maintenance plans do you employ?  I suspect some of your questions are better answered by SQL gurus who specialize in large databases.
