Hello
We'd like to use Edit in Excel in our local BC containers for our development and test purposes in our extension.
Question: Is there a way, how to set a local container together with AAD and be able to use Edit in Excel?
We tried to use AAD auth which is used also for tenant on https://businesscentral.dynamics.com. We registered an azure app for Excel and did all necessary things to edit server configuration in container. Now, it's possible to login to BC container using AAD and we see Edit in Excel on BC lists.
However, once we download&open Excel, the default setup is always set to our company tenant registered for businesscentral.dynamics.com and URL endpoint is set to https://exceladdinprovider.smb.dynamics.com. We always receive data from our company tenant, and not from BC container.
Do you have any experience or advices?
Thanks
Lukas

Hello - We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist. If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.
