I face an error message that "The order line is not fully reserved." after I release production order.

My testing scenario is system should be suggest transfer raw material quantity from Storage location to Production location.

I already setup parameters and make requisition data in D365 as follows.

1. Enable warehouse management in Warehouse master.

2. Location directives to identify Storage location.

3. Work template to identify Pick and Put step.

4. Input location in Resource.

5. BOM lines is linked to Route operation.

6. Increase raw material on-hand is Storage location.

Once I release production order then I find out an error message in Work creation history log like "The order line is not fully reserved.".

I would like to know How can I solve this issue ?

    Hello Geegus,

    In Production Control Parameter, what is the trigger for Reservation?  If the reservation did not happen at Release, it is possible that reservation is set at <Start>,  You can also find that reservation policy on the Production Order itself.

    On the Production Order, if you look at the BOM and line for that item, if you click "Inventory >  Reservations", do you see any quantities that are Physical Reserved?  If not, click on <Reserve Lot> and try releasing your Production Order again.

    in order to D365 to create work , it needs find the stock in the system and  to be reserved

    According to your steps, you activated the reservation when you release the order.

    So, the system is warning you that when trying to reserve the stock for all the products in the bill of materials , it failed to find the stock and therefore it not triggered any work creation.
