How to Prepare Export/Import Templates

I have exported Excel templates of Accounts as Templates, Static Sheet, Dynamics Table only to find out that If I actually delete the first 3 hidden columns, then I will not be able to import back the new data from an excel sheet. In the Excel sheets I have managed to successfuly import records with, I had to leave the first 3 hidden columns present, but empty though. And, I can only import data that I type into only the rows which I have emptied of the data(records) I exported. WHat am I doing wrong? I would like to know how best I can prepare a simple template for Export/Import of CRM records
