Outlook blocking Dynamics GP from emailing statements

(0) ShareShare

Hi,

I'm using Microsoft Dynamics GP 12.00.1538 (SP2) and Outlook 2013 to try and send statements. Whenever I attempt to send through GP I am prompted with "A program is trying to send an e-mail on your behalf..." and forced to click allow for each individual email. This gets annoying when sending >100 emails.

I have tried disabling warnings through Trust Center - > programmatic access to no avail. I have also tried manually setting several registry keys, which did not work. Please help,

Thanks, Jay.

I have this same issue with Outlook 2013 and GP 10. We were advised by our GP support people that Outlook 2013 was not compatible with GP 10 and we needed to upgrade to GP 2013.

We are in the process of getting that organized now. Customersource provided some alternatives, but the issue remained. You can try them with 2010 and see if it will work.

We even tried disabling our antivirus software.

Hi Rosemary and thanks for the reply,

What were the alternatives that they suggested? I wouldn't mind trying to see if their solutions work before upgrading to GP 2013.

    Thanks again.

    Hi JAYT,

This is related to the outlook security. If we send a mail from external application(Dynamics GP, etc. ), for this case we need to follow certain process in Outlook and system UAC setting.

Have a look on below link to choose the option "Never warn me about suspicious activity" in outlook 2013.

    www.cloud2050.com/.../OutlookSecurityWarning.aspx

Note: Make sure the antivirus software is installed and update-to-date.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Soma,

As previously mentioned I have already set programmatic access to  "Never warn me about suspicious activity". Do you have any other suggestions?

Just addressed this in GP 2013 R2 and Outlook 2016. If Outlook is 64-bit and the system user preference is set to MAPI, this is exactly what occurs. Try changing the system user preference to EXCHANGE and it should work fine.

any update on this ? were having the same issues, any inputs is highly appreciated.

I've already done the programmatic and registry edit steps but that doesn't resolve any of this.

Eventually after trying a range of different settings, we were able to suppress the outlook security warnings by using a free third party plugin by MAPILab: www.mapilab.com/.../security

There's also another program we used for a while to solve this: www.contextmagic.com/.../free-version.htm. We found the MAPILab solution was more effective, though.

I'm running Outlook2016 64 bit and GP Dynamics 2015,  has there been a fix without adding a 3rd party software to stop the annoying popup?  Thanks
