Using Business Central Webservices for adding warehouse shipment lines.

Hi everyone,

I am working with Web Services in Business Central. I’ve managed to successfully create a new Warehouse Shipment Header, but I’m not able to do the same for Warehouse Shipment Lines.

Has anyone had experience with this or know the correct approach to create Warehouse Shipment Lines via Web Services?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Warehouse Shipment Lines cannot be inserted directly via the standard OData API. You must:
    Create the Warehouse Shipment Header.

Use a codeunit or custom API to call Whse.-Shipment-Create or similar logic to add lines (normally done by the “Get Source Documents” action).
Direct write to the table is not supported, a custom API or extension is required to replicate standard line creation logic.

    Thanks
    Rishabh
