Hi,

I am experiencing problems while using Power BI with MS Dynamics Business Central. Report on the client itself loads so slow, it takes ages to load a report if you press "Next report" button. The data amount is not that great, it's about 1000 records. It should load super fast, but this is not acceptable. Any solutions?

    Are you using D365BC SaaS or on-premise? Are you using the standard connector? Or OData feed?

    D365BC on prem. I am using OData feed.

    I think your problem is the latency between your on-prem network and the PowerBi service. For BI solutions I recommend not to directly querying the db using OData (if you don’t have a great bandwidth) but instead load data to a cloud db (azure sql for example) and connect PowerBi to this db.

    Well I do not  believe that is the case. Our bandwidth is pretty good. Quite frequently I use RDP(on the same server) from Europe to Mauritius(an island next to Africa) and we do not experience any latency issue. Is there anyway to test it?
