BOM Explosion in Project item requirement journal

Hello

Can someone please share a document / tips to create a Project item requirement journal for BOM items?

Does it have the option similar to the 'Report as finished' option in BOM journal, so that system can exploder the BOM for the user to post rather than entering manually?

I was hoping the system would add the finished product and consume components of the exploded BOM automatically in Project item requirement journal and additionally post the cost to the project. Is this the expected behavior?

Thanks!

    Hi Hana

I am specifically looking for details about Project item requirements journal for BOM explosion as per the screen shot below.

Client is currently using BOM journal to make the finished product and consume components.

After that, they replicate the same in this Project item requirements journal to post (sell) it through internal project.

But BOM journal does not offer Pick and pack lists.

I see pick , pack lists in Project item requirements journal. So if we can find the way to explode BOMs automatically in this journal similar to BOM journal, they get everything they need in one journal instead of  creating two.

    Thanks!

    Hi indiguna,

For BOM, you can create an inventory journal and select the journal type as BOM. Details can be found in the links.

There are only four types of journals created from projects: hour, expense, item, and fee. For details, you can check the link below

    Best Regards.
