Verifone 1000se with USB interface on Windows 7 Pro 32 bit

I am trying to install a Verifone 1000se with USB interface on Windows 7 Pro 32 bit but am having difficulty.

The USB interface sets up as COM4 but the pinpad sets up with an exclamation point that no drivers were found. I downloaded the Verifone 1000se driver from the Verifone website. The file name  'installvfi.msi' I ran as is and as 'installvfi.msi INSTALL_PP=1 PORT_PP=4'

    I think this setup includes some direction for that pin pad mbs.microsoft.com/.../Preferred_Acquirer_Setup_SO I hope this helps you.

    Something to consider regarding the 1000se. That PIN Pad is only PCI PTS 2.x approved and its certification date ends Apr 30, 2017. This PIN Pad doesn't accept chip cards (EMV) and also doesn't leverage encryption (P2PE) to protect swiped data. 

    You might want to consider another solution such as the RMS Plugin by Velocity (the integrated payment division of North American Bancard). We provide an RMS plugin that supports the Ingenico Telium POS terminals that include the EMV reader for chip cards and P2PE to protect mag stripe data. So you'd solve two problems by using our RMS plugin: satisfy the VISA/MC mandate of supporting EMV by Oct 2015 and remove card data from your POS environment. The terminals we support only communicate with our gateway, and send just approval information back to the RMS system.
